MAYBE HE JUST GOT LUCKY
I had this guy once who worked for me.
Totally useless.
I knew he was from the first time we met. I can read people like that. I told him of course. No point in leaving it. Gave him the benefit of my insights on how he could improve. But he just didn’t get it.
So I got these consultants in. A bunch I’d known a long time. Complete trust between us. And I asked them to take a look at this guy. It cost me a lot of money, but it was well spent. They agreed with me of course. Classic case of a consultant borrowing your watch to tell you the time. Hey ho.
So I told the guy again. But he still didn’t get it. Still wouldn’t listen to me.
The next thing I know he’s resigned and gone to join a competitor. Fortunate to get a job if you ask me.
Anyway, surprise surprise, I heard about him recently. He’s done really well apparently. Completely turned the situation around where he went.
Ah well. I know I was right. And my consultants confirmed it didn’t they?
I guess he must have finally taken on board what I’d been telling him all along.
Or maybe he just got lucky.
